This guide starts exactly where you are now: you have already created a 3840×2160 progressive, square-pixel, Rec.709 SDR, 48 kHz sequence and saved the custom preset MOM60_UHD_MASTER.
If you have not already done this exact Save As, do it now:
C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\00_PROJECT.mom_60th_bday_v003_picture_assembly.prproj.If the age-seven clip is not yet inside Premiere, import only this one file temporarily:
C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\01_MEDIA\FINAL_PRODUCTION_SELECTS_V3\C10_FINALE_1973\03_VIDEO_SOURCES\Myrna_Dancing_Age_7_September_29_1973.mp4
Myrna_Dancing_Age_7_September_29_1973.mp4.This is only the starting duration. You will shorten/lengthen important stills later.
In Windows Explorer, verify this folder exists:
C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\01_MEDIA\FINAL_PRODUCTION_SELECTS_V3
If it does not exist or is empty, close nothing—just run this in PowerShell from the production-kit directory:
.\MOM60_FINAL_PRODUCTION_AUTOPILOT_V4\50_Run-Mom60FinalPrep.ps1
C00_COLD_OPEN.C00_COLD_OPEN so it is open in the Timeline.Use these consistently:
| Track | Use |
|---|---|
| V1 | Main stills and videos |
| V2 | Overlays / replacement shots / occasional reframes |
| V3 | Titles / text / graphics |
| V4 | Adjustment layer only if needed |
| A1 | Dialogue / birthday messages |
| A2 | Archival film / voicemail audio |
| A3 | Music A |
| A4 | Music B / crossfade |
| A5 | Ambience / useful production sound |
| A6 | Optional SFX |
In the Project panel: right-click C00_COLD_OPEN → Duplicate, then rename each copy. Repeat until you have exactly:
C00_COLD_OPEN C01_ROOTS_FAMILY_OF_ORIGIN C02_CHILDHOOD C03_TEEN C04_YOUNG_ADULT_EARLY_FORMATION C05_LOVE_PARTNERSHIP C06_MOTHERHOOD_KIDS C07_FAMILY_TRADITIONS C08_FRIENDS_TRAVEL_CALIFORNIA C09_RECENT_LATER_LIFE C10_FINALE_1973 M90_MESSAGES M99_MASTER
At the bottom of the Project panel, click the New Bin folder icon and create:
00_ADMIN 01_SEQUENCES 02_FINAL_MEDIA 03_AUDIO 04_GFX 05_EXPORT_REFERENCE
Drag all C00–C10, M90 and M99 sequences into 01_SEQUENCES.
AUTO_CANDIDATES* folders. Those are superseded and will create duplicates/confusion.C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\01_MEDIA\FINAL_PRODUCTION_SELECTS_V3
FINAL_PRODUCTION_SELECTS_V3 folder.02_FINAL_MEDIA.You should see chapter folders C01 through C10. Within chapters, start from 01_MAIN_STILLS. Ignore 02_RESERVE_STILLS unless you later discover a specific gap.
Import these into their corresponding Premiere bins:
C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\04_GFX\FINAL_V3\QR_POSTROLL_4K.png C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\02_AUDIO\FINAL_PRODUCTION_AUDIO_V3
If either path does not exist yet, skip it for now. Picture assembly does not need to wait.
C02_CHILDHOOD).01_MAIN_STILLS bin.Starting durations:
| Image type | Starting duration |
|---|---|
| Fast celebratory burst | 0.7–1.5 s |
| Normal portrait | 3–4 s |
| Important portrait | 4–6 s |
| Dense group/detail | 5–8 s |
| Hero/final childhood portrait | 6–9 s |
For the fastest story build, edit C02 → C03 → C04 → C05 → C06 → C07 → C08 → C09 first. Then build C01, C10, and finally C00. This keeps your attention on the life-story spine before polishing the opening/finale.
Available MAIN: 2. Use both only if they genuinely communicate ancestry/family context. This is not literal childhood chronology.
Do: 2–3 images maximum → simple cuts → move on. If thin, let it be thin.
Available MAIN: 4. Let old photos breathe. Suggested flow: strongest child portrait → family/yard → winter/group → older-child bridge.
Do not: re-add rejected near-duplicate snow images just to lengthen the chapter.
Available MAIN: 3. Keep it compact. Teen group/social identity is more important than filling the clock.
Optional music later: a short David Bowie Changes excerpt only if the lyric transition fits.
Available MAIN: 1 strong anchor. This is a bridge chapter, not a quota.
If it feels too thin, use the accepted 1998 reserve(s), or simply let C04 flow directly into C05. Do not pad with uncertain later-life images.
Available MAIN: 20. Build a relationship-across-time arc: early/formal → travel/everyday partnership → later intimacy/anniversary.
Motion target: 2–3. Audition IMG_9727*.MP4 and IMG_9723*.MP4.
Available MAIN: 29. This is the emotional center.
Order by the sons' life progression: babies/young children → adolescents → adult sons → present-day family. Move the older archival children image near the beginning.
Motion target: 4–6. Audition IMG_4267*.MP4, IMG_9611*.MP4, IMG_0742*.MP4.
Available MAIN: 14. Favor birthday/holiday action over repetitive table/cake stills.
Already useful video: IMG_5521...MP4 around 6.31–18.31 s. Also audition IMG_7047*.MP4 and IMG_9104*.MP4.
Available MAIN: 36. This is intentionally your broadest chapter, but prune repetition.
Favor distinctive places, movement, landscapes, playful interaction, and clearly different friend groups. Reduce repeated restaurant/table/posed group shots.
Motion target: 5–7. Audition IMG_5320*.MP4, IMG_2743*HEVC.MOV, IMG_1109*.MP4.
Available MAIN: 18. Make this warm and intimate, not another travel chapter.
Use recent laughter, family, gardens, close portraits and candid moments. The energy should gradually settle before the finale.
Motion target: 2–3. Audition IMG_2742*HEVC.MOV, IMG_4292*.MP4.
Good reasons to promote video: laughter, gesture, Mom speaking, child interaction, dancing, toast, walking/travel movement, environmental movement, a spontaneous moment.
| Priority | Chapter | Search | Start by watching | Use only if... |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | C05 | IMG_9727*.MP4 | 0–2.4 s | expressive couple motion |
| 2 | C05 | IMG_9723*.MP4 | 0–2.9 s | distinct from the other couple beat |
| 3 | C06 | IMG_4267*.MP4 | 16–26 s | interaction is immediately readable |
| 4 | C06 | IMG_9611*.MP4 | 26–36 s | laughter/gesture/voice beats stills |
| 5 | C06 | IMG_0742*.MP4 | 0–2.6 s | clearly Mom + sons/family |
| 6 | C07 | IMG_7047*.MP4 | 10.5–20.5 s | celebration action is stronger than cake/table stills |
| 7 | C07 | IMG_9104*.MP4 | 9.5–19.5 s | natural birthday/holiday sound helps |
| 8 | C08 | IMG_5320*.MP4 | 21.5–31.5 s | movement adds real travel/friend energy |
| 9 | C08 | IMG_2743*HEVC.MOV | 0–2.7 s | short environment insert reads clearly |
| 10 | C08 | IMG_1109*.MP4 | 33.4–43.4 s | Mom stays visually central |
| 11 | C09 | IMG_2742*HEVC.MOV | 0–2.9 s | adds recent-life motion |
| 12 | C09 | IMG_4292*.MP4 | 12.8–22.8 s | intimate/flattering candid or voice |
Do not use all wedding scenes. The wedding is context, not the subject.
Recommended structure:
Keep all 1973 footage 4:3. Right-click → Set to Frame Size. Do not crop/AI-fill the sides.
Use a clean crop of the actual image content—no phone/app UI. Save as:
C:\Users\Cooper\Videos\Premiere\mom_60th_bday_09112026\01_MEDIA\FINAL_PRODUCTION_SELECTS_V3\C10_FINALE_1973\04_DERIVATIVES\IMG_9792(1)_CROPPED.png
Import the PNG and use it instead of the UI-heavy HEIC. Never overwrite the source HEIC.
C00_COLD_OPEN.| Chapter | Primary cue | Status |
|---|---|---|
| C06 | O-O-H Child | Local required |
| C07 | Earth, Wind & Fire — September | Local required |
| C08 | Tom Cochrane — Life Is A Highway | Local required |
| C09 | OneRepublic — Good Life | Local required |
| C10 moving archival film | Zaki Nassif — Eshtakna A Loubnan | Acquire lawful local master |
| C10 childhood-photo return | Fairuz — Tiri Ya Tayara | Acquire lawful local master |
| C10 optional coda | Fairuz — Oummi Ya Malaki | Optional only |
Place Music A on A3 and Music B/crossfade on A4. Use Constant Power audio transitions for basic music crossfades.
For a promoted video with laughter/voice/applause/ambience:
The prepared workflow keeps M4A/MP3 pairs and selects the better working source. If a voicemail fragment strongly deepens C06 or C09, use roughly 10–20 seconds over stills while music ducks. Otherwise keep it out of the authored film and preserve it for extras/messages.
Import/stage Bushkill, Uncle Al, Aunt Adrianna and Jeff/family. Then:
M99_MASTER.C00_COLD_OPEN C01_ROOTS_FAMILY_OF_ORIGIN C02_CHILDHOOD C03_TEEN C04_YOUNG_ADULT_EARLY_FORMATION C05_LOVE_PARTNERSHIP C06_MOTHERHOOD_KIDS C07_FAMILY_TRADITIONS C08_FRIENDS_TRAVEL_CALIFORNIA C09_RECENT_LATER_LIFE C10_FINALE_1973
If Premiere inserts the sequence as individual clips instead of one green nested block, click the Insert and overwrite sequences as nests or individual clips toggle in the Timeline toolbar and make sure nesting is enabled, then drag again.
Do this before color polish or fancy transitions. While watching, note only:
Target: approximately 22–24 minutes. Do not stretch toward 30 minutes merely because the ceiling allows it.
The clean emotional master must end before the QR card.
Create a party version after the clean master is locked:
clean ending → ~2 seconds black → QR_POSTROLL_4K.png for 20–30 seconds
Before delivery, physically scan all three QR codes from a phone.
File → Export → Media.
